I had the fish and chips, and the best part was that everything was freshly fried. My husband ordered fries separately, but they were a little stale so I think I got lucky with my choice. Overall, the meal was fine. The mushy peas lacked flavour, and the tartare sauce was a bit watery, but on the whole it was okay. It was self service, food came pretty quick.
Average hence the 3 stars. The ordering was very simple the atmosphere nice with some background music. The tables were dirty, sticky with left over cutlery and glasses. The full English breakfast I had was almost cold, undercooked fried egg. I get the feeling that because they don't rely on repeat business, good food and customer service is not a priority for them
Didn’t get a chance to order food this time as I was just passing by while visiting nearby, but the place made a great impression. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with a neat and well-arranged seating layout. The environment felt comfortable and relaxed, and from what I could see, other guests clearly enjoyed their meals. Staff presence and overall vibe were positive. Definitely looks like a spot worth coming back to properly.
