Customer Reviews
Friendly staff and fast service. Food is always great and worth it for the price. Ordering online is easy and we even got a deal this time. Would recommend
My closest chip shop but moving forward I’ll go elsewhere. They’ve gone really stingy with their portion sizes, first time I noticed was when I purchased 2 pie dinners for me and a friend and because I asked for my pie separate, obviously for a reason. They gave me my dinner in a smaller tray, so less of everything when I was looking forward to more of what I enjoyed (chips, onions, peas & gravy) as they don’t do Holland pies. I tried again last night and still wasn’t happy with my portion size I buttered some bread with it, but that isn’t the point. The sausages aren’t as nice as they used to be either. Lost a customer.
I had a disappointing experience at this takeaway. The salt and pepper chicken chips were loaded with a ton of salt, and the chicken tasted old, cooked to stone, with a bad aftertaste. After one bite, I couldn’t continue. I politely returned to request a refund, explaining the quality issue, but the owner was dismissive and rude, implying I was trying to get free food. That wasn’t my intention—I simply couldn’t eat the dish. I left the food on the counter, noting it wasn’t even fit for a dog, and walked away, not wanting to argue over £6. The takeaway feels neglected, stuck in a bygone era, which reflects the owner’s resistance to feedback. It’s a shame, as constructive criticism could help them improve. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this saves others from wasting their money. Could the management consider listening to customers to improve their food quality?
