About

A public park in Didsbury, Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens features a rock garden with unusual plants on a steep bank, alongside woodland paths that can get muddy. The gardens connect to the volunteer-maintained Parsonage Gardens next door. Visitors find flowering plants and mature trees throughout the grounds, with space for dog walking, jogging, and cycling, though some paths aren’t suitable for scooters. A café serves coffee and light meals, and food trucks operate nearby. Wellies are handy in wetter months, while spring brings blooms to the rockery and borders. Tennis courts are also available on-site.

There's a lovely rock garden which has some interesting and beautiful plants. It's on quite a steep bank so just be careful if you are less mobile. After that there woodland to explore, they can get a bit wet in winter so walking boots can be a good idea.

This park is an absolute gem, especially during the warmer months of spring and summer. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, making it perfect for a relaxing day outdoors. As you enter, there’s a charming little café right by the main gate ideal for grabbing brunch or a coffee before you start exploring. Beyond that, you’ll find a great selection of restaurants both inside and just outside the park, so food options are never a problem. One of the best things about this place is how spacious it feels. Whether you're walking solo, with friends, or taking the dog out, there's plenty of room to wander without feeling crowded. Nature lovers will appreciate the abundance of flowers, peaceful ponds, and the gentle river that winds through the park. If you’re up for a bit of adventure, there’s a hidden spring and a small waterfall tucked away easy to find if you follow the map or know where to look. It’s also a fantastic spot for jogging or casual strolls. The paths are well-kept, and the scenery changes beautifully with the seasons. Whether you're snapping photos, enjoying the wildlife, or just soaking in the quiet, this park offers a perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. Definitely worth returning to again and again.
