About
This car rental service operates online, allowing users to book vehicles in various locations through its website. It partners with well-known rental providers and occasionally features deals on bookings. The platform includes options for pre-booking and fast pick-up, aiming to streamline the rental process. Customers can manage reservations and communicate via email or chat support. While some users have found it convenient for securing rentals in advance, experiences with specific providers may vary.
Customer Reviews
I booked a 2-day rental in Geneva through Rentalcars.com and was given a pickup at “Route de Colovrex 70”, presented as a normal staffed Enterprise station. Nobody from Rentalcars told me anything about issues with this location. I had a gut feeling something was wrong with the delivery address, so I contacted Enterprise myself before my 7am pickup. They confirmed in writing this was only a virtual delivery station and my reservation was incomplete/invalid without a delivery address. Despite this, Rentalcars’ agent Aya had reassured me in chat that there was an office there and I could collect the car normally. Because of their error, Enterprise changed my booking to Geneva Airport and charged 44.81 CHF in airport fees. Agent Calista told me to pay at counter and call for refund, but later “customer relations” Dimitra claimed it was for early/late timing (which the invoice clearly disproves). I’ve provided all emails, chats, and invoice showing airport fees. I’m still waiting, they keep saying they’re “waiting for commercial department” about Enterprise instructions. Their internal issues aren’t my problem: they sold me wrong location, gave false info, wasted my time. No money back, no fees refunded, no compensation for stress. Completely dishonest
Before my trip to muscat last week I rented a 2023 Kia shortage in advance from this company. After arriving to receive the car they said it’s not available and a haval is available no choice. They charged 400$ as insurance and they said it will be paid back after returning the vehicle 24 hours maximum. Now after 5 days of returning the vehicle they didn’t pay back and they said it will take a month for the insurance charges to be processed back after checking the vehicle condition and traffic fees. The employee. Be ware not to rent cars from these people and try to rent cars from decent and respectful companies. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
Never book with these people – total scam. The problems started as soon as we landed in Alicante to pick up the car. I had prepaid €400 and chosen fast pick-up. When I arrived at the desk I was directed to (Sixt), they told me they had no cars available. I explained that I had booked and prepaid a station wagon and that I was there to collect it. The employee said: “We have no cars. Only two left – a Mercedes and an Audi, both sedans. No station wagons.” He then said that if I took the Audi it would cost €100 extra. I refused and said I would take the Mercedes instead, since they had no other options. Then he asked me to insert my card and charged €900. I told him I had already paid €400. He said: “Yes, but €300 is a deposit and you will get €400 back.” So in reality, it would cost me €200 more just to get a car. I asked very clearly if I would get the full €400 plus the deposit back when returning the car. He said yes. Of course, that never happened. After contacting Rentalcars around 10 times, submitting all documents three times, and waiting an additional 28 days, they finally said no refund, claiming that I “never called them while standing at the desk.” Why would I call you when I was standing at your own rental desk? Never book with these people. Absolute scammers.
