Wow wow wow!! Sunday lunch perfection!! We visited for the first time on a Sunday in January 2026. This was a birthday treat for myself. As soon as we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine. The atmosphere is so good, because everyone seems happy and really enjoying what they do here. We had the Sunday roast, beef for two and lamb for one ... let me tell you, it was incredible!! From the meat, to the vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, extra sides and the GRAVY, so tasty and seasoned beautifully. For dessert, well, I need to say, you MUST try the white chocolate cheesecake, served at your table, with a "say when" portion, topped with berries, I was in heaven, it was divine 😍 My husband had the bread and butter pudding, with custard and ice cream, it was off the scale, tasty and an amazing bake. I nipped to the bathroom and when I returned our amazing server, had brought me a trio of different tasting Mojito's for my birthday ... by the way, this young lady was incredible and so attentive ... YOU made our day 'Tam' so thank you very much, please keep doing what you're doing. I can't praise Blacklock Manchester enough, I'm already planning a return visit ... and we live down in Leicestershire, but so worth the trip. Big love from us, for Blacklock.
Absolute perfection! The sunday roast was sublime, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The yorkshire puddings were class! Huge, tasty, not at all burnt. The roast potatoes were gorgeous as was the gravy and the meat...wow. We had the three person sharer so tried all three, can't pick a favourite. Perfectly pink beef, soft tasty pork and melt in your mouth lamb. The house lager is excellent also. Loved it here, servers were attentive and the atmosphere was really chilled. Not at all pretentious and dog friendly too. This is a must visit for a roast if you're in town. I'm coming back to try the chops next time!
Went as a solo diner on a Saturday afternoon. They gave me a really good table in a corner where I could see the whole restaurant and I felt comfortable. The food was excellent. Yes ok £5 for chips and £5 for Kale a bit pricey but isn't everywhere these days! I had Rump Cup and it was delish! Bread and butter pud (my fave) was also excellent with custard but could do with being maybe a third bigger. I had the Primitivo to drink which was also good and I asked to try it at the bar first, no problem! Music level was good, not too loud at all and sounded quite 80's, perfect for my age! (49). I will defo go back and try the Sunday roast with my other half. Thanks!
