About

A Victorian-era community centre with a distinctive clock tower, Stretford Public Hall has been restored to its former glory and serves as a hub for local events and activities. Known for its heritage, the building hosts workshops, parties, and community gatherings, with spaces available for hire. The venue has ties to the Northern Soul scene and has been a focal point for fundraising efforts to support its ongoing restoration. Volunteers play a key role in maintaining the space, which includes a basement and clock tower that are occasionally open for exploration during heritage events. Parking is available, making it accessible for visitors attending various functions.

Went to Rummage and Repair workshop to get couple of radios looked at. One was an instant success, the other it so. Not through lacking of trying though. Thank you Merick for your hard work and perseverance. He spent hours trying to fix my water damaged Roberts radio. Great workshop. They also have a seamstress on hand. Looking forward to tapping in for their help to make adjustments to my top

Stretford Public Hall is a truly beautiful community space, filled with warmth and care. From the moment I arrived, I was met with kindness and generosity that went far beyond what I expected. The staff, especially the wonderful person on reception, Carson made me feel so welcomed. They went over and above in their support, and I can’t thank them enough. It’s rare to come across a place that is not only stunning in its setting but also held together by such incredible and beautiful people. Immense gratitude to everyone at the Hall for making it more than just a building – it’s a place of connection, community, and genuine humanity. Extra massive magnitude of thanks to Carson xx

I came here for an event and I fell in love with the instruction of this place. I would recommend this place to someone who love ‘the energy” of the old building.
