Customer Reviews
This was my first time to get takeaway here and the service is quick, but the hygiene is disgusting. We found a nail (or something like it) in the special fried rice, that is very special indeed and a piece of paper stuck to the ribs. That’s completely unacceptable. I won’t be coming back.
My partner, Steven and I whilst in passing, decided to call into this venue as Steven's favourite food, happens to be Chinese also. Once in there, lovely seating and comfortable looking also. I've given the atmosphere 5 stars, as I like private dining and whilst no one else was in there, when we went in, it did feel like that then also. I do prefer places that are quiet and not rowdy, in any way, if it's an open plan restaurant. I know from dining in some of the Wetherspoons venues previously, they have been a bit loud and the lighting was very bright, in some of them too but was enough in this Chinese restaurant instead, when it had gone dark., not too bright. The food was nice, I've had better and worse also. The price was a little expensive for us both, around £23 for a starter and main dish there., I had a vegan starter, whilst Steven had a sweet 'n' sour chicken dish and paid extra for egg fried rice, it seems too. We didn't know, until we got the bill, it was extra for the rice, as well. We'll bear that in mind ahead, it was a little expensive but would go there again, at some point ahead perhaps.
I realise what time of year it is but tonight’s experience was unacceptable. We placed an order at 18.01 and was informed it would be 90 minutes, we called at 19.42 and was informed the food was being cooked and would be on its way. The food eventually arrived at 8.20 not even warm. We threw most of it in the bin. We get 2 or 3 take aways a month from here. They won’t be getting any more of our custom. I am glad you managed to satisfy the once a year customers instead of you regular core customers. Your response says it all. Good could be lying there for 15 minute and then put in the back of a car for 20 more minutes. Maybe consider taking the orders you can for fill in future instead of being so greedy and not caring about your regular customers. Also try tell customers the truth when they call up to ask where the food is. You have lost a £1000 a year.
