Tucked in the Manchester Craft & Design Centre, is this little hidden gem. There's a decent selection of some lovely food; from savoury/sweet snacks to scrumptious meals. I tried the tart of the day which was a potato and truffle thing and it was really good. There are some steps to get to the order counter and to see the extra dishes there but there are seats/tables on the ground level for those with mobility needs. As I was there around lunch time, service was a wee bit slow but other than that, staff was friendly and apologetic. Definitely one that I can easily recommend. And whilst you're there, do check out the rest of the Craft & Design Centre 👍👍👍 🍽️ Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🪴 Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ♿ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💲 Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🧑🏽‍💼 Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐

One word phoneminal. If I could give this place more stars I would. My friends and I dropped in here completely by chance while having a shopping day in Manchester. After looking at the menu and seeing the food come out we decided to take a seat and go on what can only be described as food journey. We ordered the Northern Rarebit, Mushrooms on Toast, Ham & Cheese Toastie and the hash browns. All of this food is cooked with passion and love and the flavours are complex. What are simple dishes have been elevated and we were all blown away by this amazing little cafe. Add to that the inexpensive price of all the food this place is a must visit. We also had a cheeky drink and the Pinot Noir for £6 pound a glass was extremely good. Service was exemplary and friendly and added to the experience. If you are in the area go visit and show Fred's some love.

I visited this cafe in Design Center because of its positive Google reviews. It was crowded because it was the weekend, but luckily I was able to secure a seat. I ordered warm soup and mushroom toast. The wait was long, but it was worth it. It was delicious. The mushrooms and hazelnuts went perfectly together, and warm soup was the perfect choice on a rainy day. The staff were also very friendly.
