*November 2025* For £9.10, the cod and chips are decent but not out of this world amazing. They do accept card payments, despite older reviews saying otherwise, there’s a £3 minimum tho. The service is pretty standard, not overly friendly, but definitely not bad. The chips were a mixed bag, some were abit too hard, some were way too undercooked and some had loads of vinegar overspray. The cod itself was fine, though the batter was a bit greasy and lacking in flavor. Overall, it’s decent but could use some improvements.
Always excellent food and service from a ‘classic’ chippy and very reasonably priced. We know times are tough at the moment for chip shop owners so we always make an effort to support this great couple. The community appreciates their efforts.
