Paulicarus took us to this super traditional restaurant for the £15 lunch time special. We had one chicken and also one lamb starter. ( also a third veggie option is available) Then a lamb and a chicken main. ( also a third veggie option .) All washed down with pints of Cobra at £6.50. A 10% service charge is added. We really enjoyed everything. Well cooked and deliciously spiced. Excellent service. Sat on Albert Square by the Town Hall. A basement restaurant well worth trying.
Lovely place to eat authentic food. Everything was served with a smile, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Nema was so professional and very well-behaved, making our dining experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Manchester Piccadilly.
This is hands down the BEST Indian restaurant in Manchester! Nothing else compares—seriously, it’s in a league of its own!! This place is a must-visit, a hidden gem. The food? Incredible. Every bite was bursting with flavour—easily the best curry I’ve had in Manchester, or infact one of the best I"ve had anywhere. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place is so good, I had to say something! The restaurant itself is underground and looks like something out of a museum (check out my pics!). It’s beautifully decorated with Indian antiques and traditional decor—it’s worth visiting just to take it all in. I’ve uploaded some photos from my 2025 visit, but they honestly don’t do it justice. It’s stunning. The staff were super friendly. We even chatted about how I’d first visited 8 years ago when I used to live in Manchester, and now, revisiting in 2025, it’s still going strong—because no other place comes close. That says everything, its been here ages! We ordered a selection of curries and they were outstanding. A perfect balance of spices, flavours, and richness. The naan breads were fluffy and delicious too. My partner kept saying how fab it was and we both left so happy. I’ll definitely be returning—again and again. Massive thanks to the team for such an amazing meal. If you're reading this, do yourself a favour and check out this underground treasure. Highly, highly recommended! Thank you for the amazing meal!!!! See you again next time I visit Manchester.
