Everyone’s got an opinion … Here’s mine 🙏 A unique take on Vindaloo with a Tamarind tang .. utterly delicious. Great quality, tender lamb. Tasty special rice and Coriander lemon rice AND Pilau too .. oily and heavy paratha … just how it’s meant to be ☺️ The chutney tray is by far the tastiest anywhere I’ve been in 55 years of currying around. I think I can identify chefs tricks and ingredients but I’m hooked on all the flavours here .. Balti, Karahi etc If you’re lucky you’ll get the extra special carrot, garlic, chilli chopped to millimetre pieces with your chutneys too .. 💯 % recommended .. great service and chilled vibe

New Years Eve . Skinful and staying around the area so rather than walk into town staggered into this place. First impressions are it looks decent enough but unfortunately food let it down . The pani puri , now unfortunately my Wife and I are pani puri experts as parents originate from Gujerat in India . The puris were stale and the filling not balanced enough . Bad start . Mains were a chicken Gulkariyaa or something close . Over use of tamarind, the whole thing tasted like it had tomato ketchup over it and tasted too sweet even though the description said it would be hot. The dish had a shed load of whole green chilli's in , when you tasted the chicken and added the green chilli's to each bite then you could taste what the dish should taste like in each bite but trust me you'll pay the orice the next day...overall ok Dessert was a pistachio kulfi. Love these at any Indian restaurants and usually the Dessert is dressed in single cream or presented with a bit of pzazz. Unfortunately a scoop in a glass dish didn't impress . Poppadoms and pickle try was nice . Price was good . Come on guys . This place has potential but step up the game re the food . Pass the vaseline.

Great night and great food at The Spice Lounge last night. It’s quite a few years since our last visit, if anything it was better than I remember, food was delicious, service very efficient, lovely spacious place, we had a good table in the window. We won’t leave it as long to return for sure!
