While traveling internationally, we were looking for a place to wash our clothes and not have to pull money from a cash machine to use laundry services. The owner was very helpful, allowed us to purchase exactly what we needed and use our card. He even assisted with a machine that wasn’t working right and got another one started for us. The location was clean and had clothes baskets to use for transferring wet clothes to the dryer.
A great launderette. I'm currently using it as my home machine is broken, but I'm seriously thinking whether to replace it or go go on using this service which is a short bus ride from my flat Service friendly. They are happy for customers to use own soap (important for me because of allergies) and the owner keeps the soap drawers clean between washes which is important for me for the same reason. They'll sell you soap if you don't have special needs like mine. The smallest machine costs £4 and the largest about double that, plus you'll need money for the dryer. They are happy for you to pay by card (which they turn into coins for you to use in the machines). On weekdays it gets busy after about 4pm, so for your comfort start by about 1pm if you are able to do that. Saturdays busy most of the day, so you might have to wait for a machine. For an extra charge they will also do the wash for you, but no idea about prices for that.
We had been traveling in Europe for a week and desperately need to wash laundry! This place was close to where we were and had great reviews! And I couldn’t agree more! 5 stars! Both the washer and dryer were huge and fit all of our weeks worth of clothing (3 of us!) The man at the counter (Adel) was so helpful. Gave us the exact amount of detergent needed and told us the perfect amount of drying time! (And we were able to use our credit card to get coins!) If all that isn’t enough, it was so clean, had WiFi and a restroom we could use!! Perfect!
