We visited the Roebuck pub this afternoon for lunch as a party of 4 with a pre booked table. The service was a little slow but it was quite busy. The food served seemed of a good quality and well proportioned overall we would recommend this pub. *Please note that you must register your car number plate on machine on entry to the pub, to save receiving a parking fine in the post.
Excellent Sunday lunch at the Roebuck today. Service from Joel & Lily was very friendly & attentive. Can recommend the Sunday lunch, fish cakes & Wexford chicken which were all really tasty. 😋😋 We were fortunate that we’d booked a table in the restaurant. Will definitely return when we are next in the area.
Been going to the Roebuck for years. Its our "go to" for a family meal. Unfortunately after tonight's meal I'm not sure we will be going back. Firstly my son had selected fresh veggie sticks. However when it came out it was anything but fresh, the carrots were discoloured they looked mouldy and floppy. I was told they were cooked carrots. Who sends out stone cold cooked carrots?. His cheese burger looked dry and over cooked like it had been out for ages. My chips were dry and stale and peas hard like they had been left out and reheated. My missus had the chicken wrap which seemed ok however when we got home she didn't feel great and ended up with stomach ache and throwing it all up. So disappointed with this experience as you knew what you were getting with the Roebuck, good quality food and the staff seemed to care. The waitress avoided our table after I sent back the veg. We weren't unpleasant and said we knew it wasn't her fault it was sent out like that. If they want to stay in buisness I suggest getting a chef that cares about what he is sending out, tonight was unacceptable.
