Lovely bar staff all the girls are ace. However, I choose not to visit now in the winter months as it’s absolutely freezing in there! Even with a coat on! The landlady refuses to put the heating on! I get it that it’s costly! But as paying customers you would expect a lil heat! She was so rude about it! And the poor bar staff won’t dare put it for fear of the landlady. So don’t go in winter you will get frostbite!
Ic and Flic spotted this locals / community pub as we went by on the tram. Spotted the Robinson's sign so decided to get off and give it a go. Had a good pint of Unicorn. Old Tom was being pulled through.(Tomorrow is Old Tom Day..a special Winter only brew.) The third handpump was empty on this visit. The pub has been opened up to a one room main venue with a small stage for live music. A second games room off behind the bar. There is a large rear beer garden. Handy for tram and bus. Great music playing..if a little loud for lunchtime. Butties on sale. No TV's.
Good pub but I can totally agree with a recent review we were there same day for Sam fender concert , me and my son were about to enter and some little vile faced dyed blond hair women with a po-face started to have a go at my son because he was carrying a red bull can , she said you carnt bring that in here in a really rude manner then proceeded to say something else to him , I then said hey calm yourself down what’s up with ya , she then said you run a pub , really abrupt, no need just be polite , it’s people like her running pubs is the reason so many are shutting , customers are your lifeline love sort your attitude out , we came for a nice day it was an empty can of red bull he was drinking from the car , he was holding it till he found a bin . Otherwise all other staff great , pub was lovely
