About
This car park serves visitors to the nearby Travelodge and provides convenient access to the hotel via a side entrance. It features good-sized spaces and an upper outdoor level. Parking is managed through the Ringo app, and there are occasional deals available, such as discounted rates for hotel guests with a code. It is primarily used for short-term stays, with a two-hour free period before charges apply. Be sure to check signage for details on payment requirements and time limits.

Do not park here — in fact, don’t even drive in. I entered and exited straight away (which is allowed under BPA regs). Despite this, I was accused of staying for 4 hours! Their own photos show identical daylight conditions, making it obvious the timings are wrong. This is a blatant misuse of ANPR cameras. complete scam.
I received a £60 fine for what was apparently a “2 hours free” parking offer—but this was not clearly communicated anywhere: not on the Ringo app, not in the car park signage, and not by the Travelodge staff. There was no warning that staying beyond two hours without payment would result in a fine. To make things worse, the Ringo app crashed when I initially tried to pay. I had to close it and planned to sort it out the next day—only to be told it was too late by then. The system is poorly designed and completely user-unfriendly. I raised this with the Travelodge manager, who had me fill out a form so NPC (the parking company) could call me to resolve the issue and take payment due to the app failure and lack of communication. But no one ever contacted me. Instead, a month later, I received a fine in the post with no prior warning or follow-up. This whole experience feels like a trap. At the very least, there should be a clear sign that says: “First 2 hours free – exceed this and you must pay or face a £60 fine.” Without proper communication, this just feels like a sneaky way to catch people out. Such a poor experience—avoid this parking setup and location at all costs.
Highly recommend. We stayed at the Travelodge and with the correct code only cost £7.50 for 24 hours. Good sized spaces. Upper outside level was empty. Access to the Travelodge was via a door on the side of the car park which was then only a few yards away across a small access road. Two hours free then pay via the Ringo app. The Travelodge was also excellent. Comfortably small rooms and beds. Good, reasonably priced restaurant and bar inside. Excellent breakfast worth the cost.
