While I typically don't review post office experiences, my recent visit stood out. I had over 20 packages to process and send, and the person managing the shop went above and beyond to assist me. Despite the time-consuming task of printing out all the labels, he remained friendly and attentive, efficiently multitasking to serve other customers as well. It was evident that he was not only extremely organised but also highly professional, effectively handling the workload of three individuals. Overall, a commendable and exceptional experience.
Have to agree with previous negative, yet constructive, criticisms of the post master letting this particular post office down. Terrible manner with customers when the card machine was, granted - through no fault of their own, not working. Despite not having the common sense to put a simple sign on his front door, or perhaps making an occasional announcement to his slow-moving queue, he then proceeded to suggest that customers should ‘phone the big boys at Mastercard and sort the problem out’. Completely unprofessional and frankly odd behaviour to what was a constructive criticism of mine delivered in a friendly and empathetic manner. I would suggest avoiding this particular post office and use the fantastic team on Monton high street who approach their service with professionalism.
