The negative reviews I saw before arriving scared me a little but I’ve now been here over a month and it’s been amazing! None of the negative reviews have been true for me (dirty, bad water pressure, etc) and I’ve had absolutely no problems. The room was to a good clean standard when I arrived (it looked exactly like the pictures on their website). The staff do a great job ensuring everything is going well and have generally good communication. The only slight complaint is the laundry on site uses Circuit which overcharges in my opinion. There are also only 6 washers and 6 driers for all the buildings and often not all are working. The walls are also quite thin which means you can hear a lot but if you have respectful flatmates it’s not too much of a problem. It is definitely a little expensive and there are places that will have similar amenities for less money but it’s good for what it is.

I just arrived at IQ Accommodation Salford on 7th September, and I have to say, my experience so far has been fantastic! The process of moving in was incredibly smooth, and the staff were welcoming and helpful, making it really easy to get settled. The accommodation itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The facilities are excellent, and everything is designed to make student life comfortable. I’m really impressed with how quickly I’ve been able to feel at home here. I highly recommend IQ Salford to anyone looking for hassle-free, high-quality student housing.

After a year, I think I finally can give an overall review for the accomodation, because im moving out. The accommodation is overpriced for what you get. There are much cheaper near my campus accomodation that I could get, however I was not familiar with Manchester so I picked this accomodation. Bathrooms clog easily, doesnt have good ventilation and have mould, the kitchen is usually dirty because nobody cares about the rota, and the Circuit laundry is unreliable. The walls are thin, so noise travels, and flatmates made the experience worse. I do feel like I dont have privacy sometimes. Winters are the worst because it was so cold. Heaters turn off every 15 minutes and i always woke up shivering. Fire alarms blast randomly out of nowhere every now and then which is so annoying. They also only give a vague timeframe for room checks without specifying when, which causes anxiety as it feels like they can just walk in anytime. On top of that, it’s far from MMU (around 40 minutes). The positives are that staff and security are friendly and supportive, and the study room is amazing — but overall the quality doesn’t match the cost.
