Playing against the 1st team at stretford cricket club was quite an experience. The facilities were top-notch, with well-maintained cricket grounds and a cozy bar inside the pavilion. The staff at the bar were friendly and the prices for drinks were reasonable. The wicket played well, although the outfield was a bit slow, which could be attributed to the early season conditions. However, the only downside was a strong and unpleasant smell that detracted from the overall experience. This is a wonderful space for any occasion. I had a 1950s themed birthday as I turned 50. The staff did absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make the room and night so special. We honestly can't thank them enough. Nicola you smashed it. The location enables you to really let your hair down without any worries. We'd love to come back again when we work out an excuse for another party.
Went here for a great bonfire night display (when we eventually got in - security guard was letting his friends through at the FRONT that were way behind us in the queue and then told everybody else that we might not get in as it was very busy) when we did finally get in there was plenty of space! The attitude of the security guard stopped me from giving 5 stars, for future reference don't treat strangers any different especially as they are prepared to put money into your cricket club (I experienced this kind of clique at both urmston and Stretford cricket clubs many years ago and can't believe this archaic attitude still exists, perhaps if it didn't exist you would have more members of the public attending your club which would be both profitable and beneficial in the long run for yourselves - SO TAKE NOTE!
