Good transport links to other parts of the country. Lots of shops and eateries. Tram station can also be found here. Very safe and clean station also with taxi facilities. There’s also a free bus that goes around the city centre.

My Visit to Manchester Piccadilly Station My experience at Manchester Piccadilly Station was smooth and well-organized. As the city’s main railway hub, it’s modern, spacious, and efficiently managed. The station serves both local and long-distance trains, connecting Manchester to London, Liverpool, Leeds, Edinburgh, and other major cities across the UK. The facilities are excellent — plenty of cafés, restaurants, shops, restrooms, and waiting areas. The information displays are clear, and staff are helpful, making it easy to find platforms and connections. Ticket machines and assistance counters are conveniently located, and there’s good accessibility for passengers with luggage or mobility needs. Visitor Tips: Arrive at least 15–20 minutes early for intercity trains, as some platforms require walking a bit further. During busy hours, use the automated gates for faster entry. The Network Rail Lounge offers a comfortable waiting area for first-class travelers. How to Reach: Located at Piccadilly Station Approach, Manchester M60 7RA, the station is easily accessible by Metrolink trams, buses, or taxis. The Piccadilly Gardens tram stop is just a short walk away, and there are several hotels nearby for travelers on early or late trains. Overall, Manchester Piccadilly is a clean, efficient, and well-connected station — a great gateway for exploring both Manchester and the rest of the UK.
