Stayed here for my mum's birthday. There were four of us in total. I'm giving a lower rating this time due to a few issues. At breakfast, I ordered an omelette but never received it. The staff member taking the order didn't write anything down and didn't seem fully attentive, just nodding along, and in the end the omelette never arrived. Additionally, my swimming shorts went missing after I left them in the changing rooms. I checked multiple times with staff and the lost and found department, but they were never located. There was also some confusion regarding breaktast charges. I had added an extra guest and updated the booking to four people. I was initially told there would be no extra charge for breakfast when I arrived, but at checkout the next day I was told that I did need to pay, which was unclear and frustrating. I also think there doesn’t need to be a service charge everytime I order a cocktail. Sometimes I order a drink and take it up stairs and come back down for another one. Adding services charges everytime didn’t seem really fair. Overall, it wasn't the standard of experience I'd had here before, especially for a special occasion. Stayed here for my mum's birthday. I've stayed here before and previously had a good experience, which is why this visit was disappointing.

My second visit in the last two months. Pro’s Amazing location Decent rooms Nice swimming pool / spa area Cons No parking Reception team have absolutely zero understanding of hospitality and how to engage with guests Booking system for pool shambles, told not able to use pool as it was all booked. Yes the previous day when I was told I had taken the last slot there was hardly anyone in the pool Breakfast - decent quality for hotel buffet, staff nice here. Area to small for volume of guests Overall I love this hotel, we want to stay frequently but I feel the reception staff need training in customer service, it’s as if the room numbers out way the capacity of the pool and breakfast restaurant. Lots of potential but this is not a 5 star experience unfortunately.

I had an excellent experience at the Edwardian Hotel thanks to Bashar at the front desk reception. He made check-in incredibly easy and welcoming, clearly explained the evening arrangements, and even took the time to go through parking options and advise what would work out best. Despite the spa being busy, he managed to get me booked in and also upgraded my room, which was a wonderful surprise. Truly amazing customer service that reflected the luxury and high standards of the hotel. Bashar is a real credit to the Edwardian Hotel.
