Customer Reviews
We stayed here with friends at Premier Inn Manchester Central and had a really enjoyable stay overall. We paid extra for a Premier Plus room, which was well worth it for the added space and extra comfort. The location is excellent, right in the city centre and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, theatres, and public transport. Parking was easy and convenient using the nearby Q-Park Piazza, which is just a short walk from the hotel. The room was exactly what you want from a Premier Inn: clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed lived up to the hype (seriously comfy), and we slept well overall. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast was very good, while buffet-style, everything was hot and fresh, and we especially appreciated the option of freshly cooked eggs made to our liking. One tip for future guests: ask for a room facing the rear of the hotel. Our room overlooked Lower Mosley Street, which can be noisy due to the Manchester Metrolink trams running past. The only minor issue we experienced was a small number of fruit flies in our bathroom. Friends staying in a room across from us noticed something similar, although less noticeable. We mentioned this to reception, who listened attentively, took note, and advised it would be investigated as a priority. Customer service was very good, and we felt listened to. Overall, good value for money, comfortable accommodation, and a brilliant central base for exploring Manchester. With that small issue addressed, we’d be happy to stay again.
We love this hotel, having stayed a few times previously, its location is the highlight, being 5 min walk to the city centre. The premier plus rooms are a nice upgrade with a big rainfall shower and a nice big bed! Unfortunately the coffee machine didn’t work but we didn’t bother having it fixed. The breakfast is always pleasant and very good value considering it’s all coffee, juices and pastries included as well as a hot buffet. We went out to eat, and attended our absolute favourite Chinese restaurant in china town (3 min walk) ‘Little Yang Sing’ the food is out of this world and the staff are just wonderful, they want you to enjoy so much! We love Manchester and absolutely will be going back in 2026. You can’t beat this hotel it’s a lovely clean room, good staff and impeccable location.
On the plus side it was very inexpensive. The location is excellent too. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel was quiet, we had a good night's sleep as a result.||On the negative side the decor is very tired, I stayed here quite a few years back and the decor hasn't been upgraded since then and it shows, dirty carpets and worn furniture in the main which is disappointing. Breakfast was also disappointing, it was excellent last time I stayed here, this time the fried breakfast was cold, rashers barely cooked and delays in providing some items. We were sorry we hadn't decided to go to the Wetherspoons across the road.||Overall a 3.5, mainly due to the competitive rates.
