1st among equals when it comes to a carvery but advisable to book a table whether you're a guest at the Premier Inn next door or just a passing walk in.The food is delicious along with the service which at times can be busy .The bar offers a wide selection of alcohol drinks as well as soft drinks. Its very family friendly and a heck of a lot better and safer than the 2 Wetherspoon pubs in the city centre on a weeend. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Can’t say I can talk about the food as despite numerous empty tables we weren’t allowed in. Apparently we have to reserve because there was no tables. Even though two different people said that there was an empty one. The woman who was “helping” us was rude dismissive and abrupt. I was happy to go elsewhere as I think customer service is important for my experience and yours was shocking. It was going to be my first time but I went to Toby carvery instead who were more than happy to serve us.
Wow! Absolutely fantastic. Visited with my partner and 8yr old daughter, lovely reception from staff, with particular mention to a waitress who supplied my daughter with a colouring/quiz book and crayons, then returned with another that had different quizzes! And she got given a paper hat, too! Very attentive, the (i believe manager, or something similar) even came over to ask if I needed any more gravy! It's little things like this that will make you return again and again. Quick service, food was lush, huge portions, well worth the money. Absolutely recommend! Fab.
