Customer Reviews
An overly difficult booking experience for a new years eve booking. Refused to take deposit payment or food pre order list in person for table booking of 9, 4 adults and 5 children, to be told it all needed to be done online. We were sent via email 2 different menus, the regular menu and the festive menu, we were then told after the food order had been emailed that we could not order from both menus, the order needed to be either off 1 menu or the other. We listed a dietary requirement with the food order, no possible issue regarding the order and dietary requirements was raised until we were seated at the table. The table was booked for 7.pm, we arrived on time for the booking but waited 50 minutes before our starters, 2 nacho dishes 1 garlic prawn and 1 halloumi, was delivered to our table. We waited another 20-25 minutes from the main course to be served. We finished our main course at approximately 8.30pm and waited on the table being cleared, we were then informed at 850pm that all children were required to be out of the restaurant by 9.pm leaving only 10 minutes for prep, serving and eating of our desserts. Despite wasting 50 minutes waiting for the starters we were only afforded an extension of 30 minutes over the 9.pm cut off. The waiting staff could not guarantee that they could have the desserts served to allow ample time to eat, so we decided to remove the desserts from the order. We asked to speak to the manager regarding the extremely slow and poor management of our booking. It was very disappointing to see that the manager was unwilling to step up to their position and deal with the complaint personally, opting to send the waiting staff back to us with an apology and an offer 10% discount from our bill. I can only assume that the manager was dealing with other customer complaints at the time. The food, albeit slow to be served, was good and we enjoyed what we were able to eat, but due to the poor service before and during our time in the restaurant and a no show manager to deal with our complaint, we will not be returning.
Food was uncooked, I ordered the Bacon double cheeseburger with fries, The fries were fine however the burger was undercooked and pink inside, When I pointed this out to the server she replied you should tell us how you want your burger cooked, and still charged me full price for a meal I refused to eat. I suggest you stay away, Unless you want to get ill, Was a decent place however the standard is below what is expected.
First time in Carlisle and stumbled across this place. Hands down one of the nicest meals I have had in a long time. Staff were really great, first thing they asked was around dietary needs or allergies which was really great and the menu is fantastic too We went for the Fajitas and they were absolutely amazing. Full of taste and flavour, steak was excellent quality and cut and had a portion of salt and pepper chips which were some of the best salt and pepper chips I’ve ever had! Will definitely return when I am next in Carlisle
