About
A pub in Carlisle Citadel Station housed in a historic building with a large indoor drinking area and mezzanine level. It serves a selection of Lancaster Brewery real ales, including Thresher Rascal and Lancashire Red, alongside stout and wine. Dogs are welcome. The space has been refurbished, retaining original features while creating a modern drinking environment with a snug area and outdoor seating. It has become known for its brewery ties and range of beers.
Customer Reviews
Stopped in here while waiting for a connection, apparently the day after it opened. What a stunning place, absolutely beautiful transformation. Great range of beers, with the Lancaster Brewery selection always a favourite.
Visited here yesterday. Very impressed with what they have done to the space. It now has a large indoor drinking area with a mezzanine level as well as a snug having about half a dozen tables. There are tables on the station platform as well as outside for smokers, this is via a door which gives independent access from the station entrance, which is a smart move. This will encourage city drinkers as well as rail users. A great selection of beers some are really pricey but serves Lancaster brewery ales which are more reasonable. The Red and Guinness were both well kept. Bar staff were friendly and professional.
All the fantabulous Lanc Brewery range of real ales on the bar. This.Is.Heaven! Beautiful refurbishment of an historical building. I highly recommend this pub. CAMRA members will be delighted
