Customer Reviews
I purchased a Harman Kardon soundbar from Peter Tyson which developed a hardware fault (crackling at volumes over 30%) just after a year of ownership. Despite the unit having a history of a previous failed repair for the same issue, customer service was dismissive and insisted the unit was 'out of warranty,' ignoring my statutory rights. They initially agreed to reimburse the shipping costs for the return, but after I spent £31.33 on a fully insured courier to ensure the unit reached them safely, they reneged on this promise, claiming 'No Fault Found' despite my providing specific details on how to replicate the hardware failure. While they eventually provided a partial refund after significant pressure, their refusal to honor their word regarding shipping costs and their attempt to charge an illegal 'restocking fee' for faulty goods was very disappointing. I would be cautious when buying high-end audio here if you expect reliable support when things go wrong.
I recently purchased some in-ear headphones from Peter Tyson and, once again, I was really impressed. The team are always enthusiastic about helping you find the right product, and their customer service is genuinely faultless. I’ve bought numerous items from them over recent years and have consistently had a positive experience. Highly recommended!
I enquired on a new Turntable at £5k. He said that they can't do nothing off but I'll give you a good price on my part exchange £1600 for my Limited Edition Turntable which is numbered and mint and also I do know my unit is made in Japan NOT Malaysia as what staff kept on telling me. These guys used to be good and look after there customers, but these days they just put to make big money and don't care about customers no more. I won't be calling or buying anything from Peter Tyson no more. Update 31/10/2025 Paul which is decent of him but cannot do us a fair deal as what other Hifi shops has done for myself, so my advice to everyone it does pay to shop around as other Hifi shops are willing to do deals and even better offer myself £4K for my part exchange, what Peter Tyson cannot do.
