Carlisle Islamic Centre
Opening Hours
About
A mosque serving Carlisle’s Muslim community, with space for daily prayers and two Friday congregational services. The imam leads prayers when present, though a muezzin assists in their absence. Travellers passing through the city sometimes stop here to pray, though opening times can be unclear without prior checking. Roadside parking is available nearby. The building is close to the train station, making it accessible for visitors arriving by rail. While modest in size, it provides a place of worship for locals and passing travellers alike.
Customer Reviews
It is a beautiful mosque, but there was a lack of information. When I searched on Google for prayer times, there was no information about whether it was open or closed, or its hours. There was no sign outside indicating that it was a mosque. We found this door by chance, and luckily, it was open. Inside, it was nice and clean.
We went there few days ago on the from London to Edinburgh planned to stop for praying , un fortunately the building was close. Alhamdulillah we managed to get to our hotel in Ashkirk but almost maghrib at that time
Briefly stopped for afternoon prayers enroute to Scotland. Imam was on holiday however muezzin was friendly and helpful. May Allah reward you.
