We had a most enjoyable stay at Rosalind House. From the warm welcome we received from Julie right through until our departure, everything went perfectly. Our room was quiet, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was wholesome with a good variety of food. The B&B is ideally situated, being only a short walk from the castle, cathedral, railway station and a range of restaurants. We hope to return one day.||Ellen and Adam.
Booked Rosalind House for a weekend stay, as we were attending a wedding near Carlisle. Read through previous reviews, liked the location and closeness to the city centre, and the ability to park on a nearby street with a permit from the guest house. Our hosts Julie and her husband couldn't do enough for us, and happily gave advice as to what to do, where to eat in Carlisle, a city we have never visited before. Booked the Tyan room as its the biggest, and gave us a bit more room for a 3 night stay. Very comfy bed, large walk-in shower, bathroom had a large opening window as did the room too. Breakfasts were great! If returning to Carlisle I would be looking to book in here again!
A very comfortable, clean place to stay if you are visiting Carlisle. Short walk to the city centre, close to restaurants. Friendly and helpful hosts. Lots of info on Cumbrian culture. Fantastic food! Breakfast is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
