We were recommended to try the sandwiches at Dough-Lux by a friend. We both enjoy big, fresh sandwiches like the ones you can get if you visit Italy or the US but they are hard to come by in the UK. I’m glad we made the trip to the market hall as the sandwiches they make at Dough-Lux absolutely hit the spot. Fresh ingredients, lots of choice, all prepared to order. We both went for a grilled cheese option, my wife had the pesto chicken sandwich and I had the meaty one! Seriously tasty and already looking to head back as soon as we can. 100% recommend.
Amazing sandwiches! Worth every penny of the £5.50 price for this gourmet sandwich experience. We had the deli and the spicy Italian (which definitely lived up to its name, be cautious if spice is not your thing). We also had a Homer doughnut which was good, nice light and chewy texture. The decor of the shop and eating area was a bit bland so on atmosphere there’s a bit lacking but wouldn’t stop me returning, so can’t wait to have a sarnie once more 👍
