My first visit to this bakery was a spontaneous decision driven by curiosity for and love of local produce. During my morning walk I just popped in to see their bread. It looked and breathed clean and cozy inside. I asked for a healthy bread option and was recommended their popular healthy loaf. The kind shop assistant asked if I would like to have it sliced which I did. I asked for permission to take the photos which you can see with this review. I would like to return to try out their pies.
Probably one of the best ranges of pies you’ll ever find. No visit to Carlisle is complete without buying a Macaroni & Cheese Pie
Whilst waiting to catch the train from Carlisle we went to Greggs. Unfortunately there was a big queue so we went to Gretna Bakery instead. We are so glad that we did, the service was great and the meat and potato pie was delicious. Added a slice of celebration cake for later. Will definitely go there again when in Carlisle.
