Very friendly and welcoming owners. Nice sitting booths. Good menu options with the pistachio cake ( once or twice per month?) Excellent along with the burger and fried potatoes (salad could have been more varied) Exceptional shortbread. Good pricing. The homemade turmeric drink was very tasty but would have been hotter. Some good combination of soup and starter. Would like to try soup next time and hopefully a pastie if they still do them. Well worth stopping off for a break en route and Penrith seems to have held on to some individual shops and buildings thankfully with a bit of character still.
Friendly, healthy and plant-based low carbon food too. Vegan cake. Nice choice of mains. Recommended! Comfy private booths. Nice clean toilet too. Super-flexible staff - we even shared a cake! 🍰
Super friendly and welcoming owners. They have the best choice of ingredients for salads in Penrith! All the food is hearty and fresh. Really good menu for sitting in as well and nice strong coffee!
