I have now been three times in the last year with my wife and various friends and thought it was time I left a review. Like others I find the staff to be efficient and charming. The food, and between us we have tried 10 or more dishes, is of a very high standard and is reasonably priced. I have seen the negative comments from 4 years ago on this site. All I can say is that they were very unlucky or simply don't know a good meal when they eat one. I went on recommendation and I too can now recommend it.

Disappointed and Horrible : Will never recommend to visit : I wen there 21-July-2017 for having a curry at night. I searched in google and saw the review were good and went straight up. First they asked whether I have booked which I didn't. Initially they hesitate and finally they managed to give me a seat. The supervisor ( head ) came for the food order. I ordered few and told that if we require any more will ask later on. He denied saying all the order have to be made at the starting else it will take 45 minutes per order if I order later. It is difficult to order everything in same time. But I requested if I can get at least breads or rice if require more and he annoyingly confirmed that. The Food arrives : The poppadum's were not fresh, the rice is hard and the curry taste not good. None of them ever came to ask about the food. Though I notice they are asking few other customers. Didn't get why they are not asking us and somehow realized that may be I am a tourist and not a regular customer and it didn't matters to them. We finished most of the food and thought probably we need some more side dishes to finish off. Asked the same person if he can give - " He just came and started blaming that we should have given order at starting etc etc. He refused to give the dish we wanted and managed to give one bread. " ..that time we were trying to finish asap and get out of the restaurant. It seems we are eating the food without paying. The hospitality is bad, the head staff is bad and don't know manners. Even they don't have a courtesy to say thank you while leaving. I quite don't understand why you should tolerate this from a restaurant where you are paying for the food. We, myself my daughter, wife and my friend all of us had a extremely bad experience.

After a day exploring Penrith with the family; it was a unanimous decision that we were missing a good home cooked meal. We drove past the restaurant earlier in the morning while shopping and made a mental note of the location and returned in the evening. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Comfortable chairs in a secluded area were offered and it was a godsend that the meat is Halal as my eldest daughter is a carnivore . The food is authentic Punjabi style very well seasoned and cooked. Compliments were passed to the chef who is of Bangla origin. The paratha is how my mum used to make it, rich, flaky and crispy. Highly recommend this to you all.
