About

A two-floor secondhand bookshop with floor-to-ceiling shelves, Beckside Books is known for its extensive selection of used titles. The shop carries a notable range of history books, including sections on local interest, the English Civil War, and African history. There’s also a sci-fi collection, spiritual books, and a small upstairs area for children’s titles. Visitors often browse the shelves for unexpected finds, and the owners take requests for specific books. A reading nook upstairs provides a quiet spot to look through discoveries. The shop sits near a churchyard, adding to its peaceful appeal.

Popped into this hidden gem of a store yesterday. So much selection and a wonderful experience to go in search for a particular book. The owners were friendly and will even look for a book if you request one they do not have. Couldn't have been a nicer experience.

Has a wide range of 2nd hand books, I was particularly impressed with the history and local interest sections Beautiful, quiet location next to the churchyard, worth seeking out just for the stroll away from the hustle and bustle

Brilliant little book shop that is great for browsing. Si fi section and spiritual are our favourite sections. But they have good selection of local history and history books to. Small selection of children's upstairs. Some books are very cheap others mid range but everyone should visit this shop at least once. Needs more books by Kevin J Anderson though!
