King Arthur's Round Table
About
King Arthur’s Round Table is a prehistoric earthwork near Penrith, believed to be a Neolithic ceremonial site. The circular mound, surrounded by a ditch, is linked to local legends of Arthurian lore. Visitors can walk around the grassy remains, with an information board explaining its historical significance. Nearby parking allows easy access, and the site is often combined with a visit to Mayburgh Henge. Though little physical structure remains, the site offers a tangible connection to Cumbria’s ancient past.

Great to see if you are in the area and interested in neolithic history/monuments. If so, you can park in the layby near Mayburgh Henge which is well signposted and see both at the same time. If you're not really interested in history, then I don't recommend you go. There's very little to actually see especially as part of the monument was destroyed by the road.
You have to use your imagination and iin the cold icy winter one got an idea of what earlh living must have been like on the move but thanks to the graphic and pre reading this place is massively overlooked in the annals of history in my opinion. Commander Moon
We visited King Arthur’s Round Table when visiting Penrith. It was very interesting to see and extremely educational for someone like myself who enjoys history. Our local guide (one of my best mates) thought this was a henge, but it turned out it was actually a Round Table. We loved our visit and the history of this landmark.
