Adorable little sculpture of Paddington sat on a bench at the end of a little pedestrianised shopping street. The sculpture is one of a number located in different parts of the country marking the release of the movie Paddington in Peru. The Toymaster shop behind had put together a themed window display. Paddington will doubtless raise a smile for families visiting Penrith - surely he was attracted to the town by the grocery shop at the market square that was advertising over 20 types of marmalade...

A not too be missed opportunity for all ages to take a seat with Paddington in celebration of his 3rd feature film. This is one of 23 Sculptures in locations across the UK from Land's End to John O'Groats. Located to the side of Toymaster's in Little Dockray, it's a family friendly location being pedestrianised with only loading/deliveries allowed. There's plenty of parking nearby in various locations around Penrith, which is also served by a railway station and bus station. Penrith also has some fabulous eateries, cafés and bars, historic landmarks, interesting architecture, and a range of independent shops and chain stores if you're wanting to make your visit to Paddington part of a day out.
