I booked the half day Escape and Evade. Initially I was a little disappointed as I thought the whole day was going to be doing exactly that. However the half day is about preparing how to do that. My disappointment was quickly flipped round into pure enjoyment. Firstly I would like to thank Lee and Becca for being great hosts and facilitating an incredible day, these guys are running an absolutely fantastic business that deserves its #1 rating in the area. We started with a small hike to a location that allowed us to do abseiling, Lee gave us instruction initially how to get down safely and then a second opportunity to get down safely and quickly. (Even if Lee did leave me hanging for a bit - as seen in the pictures) We then went to a nearby location where we blew up an inflatable boat and used it to carry our gear whilst we swam across a river (nice and cold) this was followed by another hike up To a big cave where Lee taught us to light fire in the wild and gave us tips on how to get the best results. Finally we had a choice of doing a small escape and evade (This is usually done in the dark) or a bit of canyoning, whilst I wanted to do the escape and evade we decided on the canyoning as we thought it would be the better experience in the light. The canyoning was great fun although walking up a hill in a wetsuit was difficult 😂 Overall we had a terrific day, everyone enjoyed it. If you do this, just commit to it, some of the activities may put you out of your comfort zone but they are designed to. I will be booking the full escape and evade in early 2026, and I’m sure I will book activities every time I head up to the lakes. Thank you for such an amazing day See you soon Chris
Just landed back at our hotel after the ghyll scrambling with Keswick Adventures! Wow! It was one of the best (if not the best) activities we have ever done together. The lads who guided us through the session were so very friendly, professional and knowledgeable that we felt in the safest of hands to just have a load of fun and challenge ourselves! The equipment was great. Kept us warm through out the afternoon. We are a mum and son (12) who like to get out and about on adventures together and this was just perfect. We will definitely do this again. Thanks to Lee and the team 🙂
A brilliant time with Lee and Becca who were straight up incredible in making sure we maxed out every minute of our day. We crossed rivers, took on abseiling, learned survival skills, went canyoning, and they even chucked us in the river for good measure. Aside from giving us the confidence to take on all the different activities, they also provided top end gear from wet suits to drypacks to ensure you're getting a top end experience. They documented the day too, so we've got loads of great memories and stories to take home with us. We were a group of six lads all pushing forty and loved the whole experience. Basically be willing to throw yourself into everything that's on offer and they'll get you the rest of the way. Cheers Lee and Becca, be back next year for a hunt!
