We had a wonderful stay! The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with a fantastic variety, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful grab bags for mornings when you’re in a rush. The hosts were warm, attentive, and very friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for sleek, modern style, this might not be the place for you—but if comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality are what you value, this is absolutely the spot. We would definitely return!
Acorn House proprietors were wonderful - very friendly and helpful in providing assistance and travel suggestions. Breakfast options were varied and all cooked to order and delicious. Convenient location - walking distance to downtown but easy to get out of town to other destinations.
To be honest we are regular visitors now after discovering Acorn House a few years ago. It’s a traditional, very high standard B&B . It’s not very modern , decor wise and shouldn’t be, it’s a beautiful old building.Rooms are clean and comfortable and little extras like cork screw and wine glasses much appreciated. Breakfast exceptional and Janet is such a lovely warm hostess ( huge mention to the family team behind the scenes!).
