This is an excellent place to stay. It's very clean, comfortable and just a short stroll to the main square. The quality of breakfast is outstanding and Amy and Chris certainly know what they're doing. We will definitely look up Avondale on any future trips to Keswick.
Had a lovely 4-day stay at Avondale at the end of October. The single room was clean and comfortable with thoughtfully provided snacks plus teas and coffee and the shower is amazing - especially appreciated at the end of a wet windy day's walking! Brilliant location close to all the centre of Keswick and lots of walks and transport options. Breakfast was excellent with both choice and quality and Amy and Chris are super-helpful, informative and accommodating hosts. Looking forward to returning in 2026 :)
Amy and Chris run this guest house to a really high standard. The locally sourced breakfast was delicious, complimented nicely with the home made bread. Brilliant location as near to town. Rooms lovely, clean and everything you need supplied. We were stopping as an anniversary break but clearly caters well for walkers. We will definitely return when we come back to Keswick.
