In July I needed to book a smear test and on phoning there was no availability for weeks and I was short of time as was going away on holidays. I booked an appointment but asked for any cancellations. The receptionist very kindly rang me back soon after to inform me of an appointment the next day which I was very grateful and it really reduced my stress about the appointment. In addition when I had the appointment with a lovely nurse I asked about the pill as I needed it for a longer period of time and she was able to sort there and then rather then having a separate appointment again. I’m very grateful for the NHS care

I've had mostly positive interactions with this surgery but I am really concerned about the mass exodus of very competent Doctors from Castlegate. Some great doctors are leaving or have already left and I heard it was in part due to poor psychological safety due to senior management.

Went for an appointment and didn't realise dogs(not guide dogs) but a small fluffy thing was sat beside me setting off my allergies! I came out feeling worse than I went in! Didn't know pets were allowed at doctors surgeries now?
