We stayed a Friday and Saturday night here so that we could do some Wainwright bagging in the North West part of the Lakes. The hotel is in the centre of Cockermouth near to all the pubs and shops. There’s an Aldi just a 2 minute walk away. It’s a really good location. The staff are really friendly and attentive and welcoming. The building is lovely with high ceilings and a nice warm feel to it. The room is spacious and well equipped. They are slightly dated but they are clean and very pleasant to stay in. The car park to the front makes it easy access to load/unload your car. The breakfast is superb, one of the best I have had recently when staying in similar hotels. Very much recommended and I will look to come back soon for another nice weekend away. Great value.
Lovely period property. Our first floor bedroom at the front was very spacious with high ceiling. Clean and warm, and a good base for exploring Cockermouth. Dedicated car park. Breakfast very filling. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Slightly dated feel but, nevertheless, a lovely place to stay and wouldn't hesitate to return
We - an adult family stayed here to celebrate the New Year. What a remarkable stay. In the centre of Cockermouth we had everything and more than we needed in walking distance. Some nice walks as well. The Hotel was faultless and we were made very welcome. As for the breakfast best we had ever had and kept us going all day. Staff couldn't do enough for us so that our stay was enjoyable and we will remember it. First time at the Manor House but will definitely not be the last. Thank you to everyone at the Manor House.
