About
A bike shop stocking road, eBikes, touring, gravel and kids’ bikes, with a selection of parts and accessories. Known for servicing and repairs, including brake adjustments and cable fixes, often accommodating last-minute requests. Staff assist with bike fittings, swapping components like seats and posts. They’ve supported bikepacking trips by troubleshooting mechanical issues mid-route and have provided mountain bike instruction for local groups. The shop handles everything from vintage road bike assessments to running buggy repairs.
Customer Reviews
Great shop, great staff. Was in the shop for an hour and a half test riding different bikes and changing parts like seats and posts. I finally bought a Cube bike with help from Simon.😊
Long overdue review, but I forgot to do it. I brought In my dads old road bike last year as i was just getting into cycling (now bought a proper road bike) and asked them to have a look at it to see what it needed and to ensure it was road worthy. Asked about the different levels of service, and I asked for the lowest level. Just have a look and advise what needs to be done to make it road worthy as the value of the bikes' potential fixings, if terrible, would exceeded the bikes cost and i woildve just bought a new bike. When I came to collect my bike, they had done a £95 pound service without asking my permission(which i stipulated), essentially shafting me for a cost on a bike that wasn't really worth it. Any rational person, even if not informed, would know I didn't a £95 service on a bike made in the 1990s. Friendly staff, shit service. I did end up spending a substantial amount on a bike several months later and chose to direct my funds to another local business that I could trust.
Cyclewise provided mountain bike instruction for the Army cadets recently. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the instructor, but he humiliated my daughter. Firstly she asked to be in the ‘less confident’ group as she hadn’t ridden for ages. This request was ignored. Then the instructor told the cadets they could stop after one circuit which my daughter did. He told her she could “go and cry about it in the corner”! Finally, he talked about my daughter to the remainder of the group, stating that “I have to be nice to her as I haven't known her long. I’d have been horrible if I’d known her longer”! My daughter has been in cadets for over 2 years and has faced challenges as part of previous camps and training, so is a resilient person. I am appalled that a grown man, would humiliate a 16 year old girl in front of other children! I will be passing on my feedback to the Army cadet organisers.
