Customer Reviews
Decent branch of Spar. The store itself is fairly large and stocks a fairly wide range of goods you would expect to find in any local high street store. Prices are obviously higher than Tesco or Morrisons which are just around the corner but then this store is generally open more hours than the big stores. Plenty off road free parking in the stores car park. Nothing to write home about or complain about.
Rude and intimidating lady said I couldn't use their customer toilet unless I was a customer as in paying, so I felt bullied into buying something when I suffer with an illness which means I need access to disability toilets. I'd walked in to use the public customer loo as I seen it was open but also I am a regular customer I buy from there a lot and had spent twenty minutes walking there I've no car. I have multiple chronic disabilities, and so do both my autistic young children, who were then put off using it with me. I've shopped there for a few yrs now and noone has ever put me publicly in that situation before by telling me basically I must buy something just to use it. Puts me off going there with that kind of bullying attitude, of having to explain to people like that about disabled people needing a toilet facility, for very serious and embarrassing conditions which aren't there fault in a town with a very small amount of proper clean and accessible disability toilets.
I am the shopper that was using crutches so got my 17 Yr old son to pull the trolley. When we arrived at the till I was told that I (a 57 Yr old disabled man) could not be responsible for the trolly as my son was pulling it for me? At this point the assistant wanted to ID my son but when I explained it was my shopping & that I was on crutches. I was paying for all of the shopping in the basket! Common sense would have been a really good trait for the young assistant but not today!!!!!!!!! Very angry with the attitude of one assistant that was not willing (or unable ) to use common sense!!!! I have used this store loads of times without any issues but not anymore!!!!!
