Just a note to mention how professional and friendly the staff are at Dobies. Our experience was an excellent one. No pressure to buy a car, which has put me off in the past with other dealers! We had a really excellent experience purchasing our electric van from Dobies Cumbria Motors. From start to finish, Paul was clear, responsive, and professional — no pressure, just straightforward and helpful communication throughout. We were buying remotely, which always carries a bit of risk, but Paul made the whole process feel easy and well-managed. A special mention as well to Barry, the Sales Manager, who was pragmatic, approachable, and supportive when a couple of last-minute logistics and fit-out questions came up. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and everything was handled calmly and fairly. The van was exactly as described, the handover was well organised, and the overall process felt honest and well run. It’s clear Dobies is a family business that genuinely cares about how they deal with customers — and that really came through. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, and we’d happily do business with them again.
Well worth the drive from South Ayrshire to view a particular car at a great price and excellent condition. Tim and I were very impressed with the staff from the start. A BIG thank you to Austin who was every bit the perfect salesman - not at all pushy, very knowledgeable and could answer all questions with ease and genuine honesty. It was well worth the journey down to Cumbria to view and purchase our car. We would certainly recommend Dobies Cumbria Motors to anyone looking to replace their current vehicle.
