About
The Henry Bessemer is a JD Wetherspoon pub in a converted cinema, retaining some original features. It serves breakfast, real ales, and pub classics like mixed grills and veggie burgers, with a varied menu. The space is bright and airy, with ground-floor toilets. There are occasional deals on food and drinks. The pub is known for its budget-friendly approach to traditional pub fare, including nachos and light evening meals. The app allows ordering at the table.
Customer Reviews
Whenever we go on holiday, we usually end up eating in a local 'Spoons' - food is reasonably priced and varied menu for everyone, though I usually opt for the veggie burger. I am also interested in which local heritage figure each Wetherspoons is named after and the buildings that have been converted, and really liked this one.
Typical Wetherspoons Fayre! Having being stung whilst on a trip to Edinburgh, it was a nice return to Wetherspoons for some cost-effective traditional pub food at half the price. Yes, the quality of the products is reduced in comparison to some of the more expensive establishments however it’s a safe option for anybody with young children. I had a good hearty meal and a pint for under £15. (I am not a tight person by any stretch but sometimes you have to just try a spoons!) A great meal and a lovely venue too, as with all the spoons!
Waited an hour for our breakfast, came stone cold missing two hash browns, Partner paid extra for cheese on his sandwich didn’t get that either, terrible food
