Very nice stay while travelling for work. Comfortable and homely house, huge room, lush bathroom, friendly and welcoming host. Local dinner options were a little limited on a Monday night but once my takeaway found me all was fine, and fab breakfast the next day. Sadly it was cloudy when I visited but loved the idea of stargazing in the garden, possibly followed by a sauna.
Lovely property room and cottage done to a very high standard extremely clean friendly welcome and accommodating. Cooked breakfast was outstanding all fresh and local produce property, only a ten minute walk from the coast and on the doorstep to the lake district would highly recommend.
Sue and Fred made us feel very welcome during our recent C2C tour. Their cottage is immaculately renovated, and spotlessly clean. Crisp sheets and towels were provided. We both had a very refreshing sleep on modern comfortable beds. Lovely conversation and an excellent breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, and cooked local produce which provided us much needed fuel and encouragement for the ride ahead. The location is little off from the start of the C2C, but it is a short ride to the coast to pick up the first trail. Sue made us feel very comfortable regarding the COVID-19 situation, advising us of all the precautions she had taken. For a small charge they let us keep our car on site - which was a huge help while we tackled the hills on two wheels. I would happily visit this cottage again without hesitation.
