Shocking service - avoid at all costs!! We used this firm to book a taxi for a wedding months in advance! We received confirmation so a week before the wedding I phoned to check that they didn’t want upfront payment to which I was told we had no booking! I explained about the email to the lady on the phone and she could see it in her system and she was the one who had sent me it! She told me she was too busy and couldn’t honour our booking! Luckily for us I phoned to check and managed to get a lovely taxi driver from another company to help us out on short notice once we explained the situation.
This place saved me from being stranded and I can't thank the driver that turned up enough, I am a disabled person and my electric wheelchair decided to power off and not come back on so after police got involved to push me out of its gearing into a travel lodge where I waited for my ride home, this guy literally made my day and we had a lovely chat on the way back to my flat where he had to help me get inside my flat and collect my walking frame. There are nice people in this world who go above and beyond and the driver that helped me out should be given a raise. Thank you so much downton travel I hope this message shows other people just how committed you are in getting people to their destination.
Be warned do not use this service I booked a taxi from them for an 11:30 pm pick up & I was still standing waiting at 12:45 before giving up , they are an absolute joke & after speaking to others apparently they are renown for it
