Customer Reviews
Just had the worst experience in this tesco. Went to buy my stuff but there was an age restriction on some of it. Spent ages waiting for a staff member to get to me. Whilst waiting decided to start packing my bags. Then had a very aggressive security guard tell me I needed to pay first before packing my bags. The only reason I started packing before payment was because of the long wait for the age restriction. This security guard then is very aggressive about me packing my bags during the wait. What made it worse was the way this security guard then lied and said I was "messing around with the till" because of packing and said, again very aggressively, to "look at the screen". I then pointed to the screen and said "it is an age restriction" and that I can't pay until the age restriction is removed. He then lied yet another time and said that because of the fact I'd put my phone done in the bagging area, the lady at the till could not approve my items. This is completely untrue. I know this is untrue because I used to work on self-checkouts. You would always have the option to approve the weight of the items there if a weight message came up and could then approve an age restriction. There was never a weight read wrong message on the till- there was an age restriction message that was not being attended to. I worked on self-checkouts for almost three years. Lying again and again because the security guard assumed I was stealing when I wasn't and rather than simply apologise for his mistake, he lied even further. I am not at all happy about this experience- and I am very happy to be contacted about it. Your security guards need retraining. He tone and manner were incredibly aggressive, further when he was wrong he refused to admit to it and lied to try to cover the situation. There was no need for what I experienced today in your store. Happy to be phoned or contacted about it and I would appreciate an apology. Please reply to this, I will share my phone number. It happened on the 17th November 2025 at around 9.30pm to 10pm and you're very welcome to check the CCTV for that night which should corroborate everything I have said.
Feels like they never have any stock in and when they do, the selection feels very random? You usually either leave empty handed or recently its likely to be with damaged products. The 3 times I've been to buy something in the last 2 weeks, twice the chicken packets were opened and now a pack of pastries is already open. Who knows what's going on in this store. 🤢
I shop in the mornings there’s a couple of staff that are polite who always say hello and make conversation. There’s a security guard that wears glasses who is RUDE and speaks badly about customers???????
