I mistook potatoes for sweet potatoes and accidentally ended up choosing the bakery’s signature bun, the Madbrød (£6.6). I went there a month ago, it was recommended to me by a friend. The pastries and sourdough in this place are amazing! One of the best bakeries in town hands down! Cannot recommend enough. Also the lovely girl who served me was the sweetest girl ever. I wanted to leave a tip for her when I payed with card but she said they don't do tips. So I just wanted to leave a review to appreciate the amazing staff!
I recently visited Companion this morning and tried their croissant and seeded bread. The croissant was absolutely perfect—light, flaky, and buttery, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that rivals those from the best Parisian bakeries. The seeded bread was equally impressive, with a delightful crunch from the seeds and a soft, airy interior. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sandwiches or on its own with a bit of butter. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I'll definitely be coming back for more of their delicious baked goods!
