About

This Indian restaurant focuses on Kerala cuisine, serving dishes that reflect the flavours of the region. It is known for its appam, a soft, fermented rice pancake, and porotta, a layered flatbread. The menu includes beef-based dishes such as beef roast, beef fry, beef biryani, and beef pepper fry, alongside other items like ghee rice and kappa biriyani. The restaurant also prepares sadhya, a traditional Kerala feast served on a banana leaf. Operating primarily as a cloud kitchen, it delivers food directly to customers. The emphasis is on authentic Kerala recipes, with a focus on hearty, spiced dishes that are central to the region’s culinary heritage.

We were touring through Manchester and were craving some homely Kerala food. This place in terms of good did to disappoint at all. The beef fry was delicious and the appam was fresh as well. We also ordered Pothichoru and that was tasty as well. The place is actually a building with many cloud kitchens and hence the place to sit is just a small room with 4 tables. Do not expect restaurant like experience here. You also need to clean the tables yourself as you do not pay for service here. But we just needed good food and it was great! Thanks!

As mentioned by several others, this place operates more like a cloud kitchen rather than a proper dine-in area. It cannot really be compared to a food court, as the space is quite congested, the walkways are too narrow (making it difficult to move around, especially with a pram), and the overall cleanliness/ambience could be much better. The toilet facilities are also below standard, though that is not directly the restaurant’s fault. Coming to the food – we tried Pothi Choru, Porotta, Chicken Varutharacha Curry, Ghee Rice Pothi, and Beef Biriyani. The Porotta with Chicken Varutharacha Curry was excellent – soft, flaky porottas and a flavourful curry that we really enjoyed. The Ghee Rice Pothi was a bit disappointing, as the rice did not taste like authentic ghee rice, but the chicken and beef inside were superb. The Beef Biriyani was average, while the Pothi Choru was quite good. Overall, we found the food tasty and reasonably priced, but the ambience and facilities definitely need improvement.

My visit to Kerala Curry House last night, Sunday, was absolutely superb! We arrived quite late, around 11:15 PM, but the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home even near closing time. The food was brilliant. I highly recommend the Fried Rice and the Chicken Manchurian—both were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. A special shoutout to the staff, particularly the very nice Mallu guy who served us. His behavior was very nice, and he had great communication skills. It’s service like this that truly elevates the dining experience.
