About
A Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng serving classic Cantonese dishes and drinks, this spot is known for its authentic flavours and wide-ranging menu. Highlights include roast meats like char siu, crispy pork belly, and roast duck, alongside dishes such as pork chop rice, curry beef brisket, and baked Portuguese chicken rice. The French toast, filled with peanut butter and served with butter and condensed milk, is a standout. Milk tea is a key feature, served strong and often accompanied by requests for extra sugar. The menu also includes items like satay beef fried noodles and bingsu, catering to a variety of tastes. Regular deals make it an affordable option for exploring Hong Kong-inspired cuisine.
Customer Reviews
Very affordable and authentic HK-style cafe. The French Toast was filled with peanut butter and went really well with butter and sweetened condensed milk. The current dish balls were very flavorful and had got a lovely bouncy texture. Would come back again next time in Manchester.
We ordered Satay Beef Fried Noodles and Siu Mei Rice this time. The Satay Beef Fried Noodles is tasty and crunchy. And the Char Siu, roast duck and crispy pork belly are all better than most of the Siu Mei I tasted in Hong Kong. Especially thanks Matthew for recommending the new desert, freshly made Tofu Pudding. It is rich of soy and silky smooth that I look for so long in UK. I will recommend my friends to try them all when visiting Manchester.
This is some of the most authentic and expertly prepared Chinese cuisine. We had the set menu for four including main dishes, rice, soft drinks and dessert which was absolutely good value for money. Every dish was fresh, hot, and delicious! The service was nice. Our server was friendly and smiley. We left already planning our next visit to try more of the menu. The only note is that it gets quite busy on weekends, and the seating in the middle is a bit tight.
