We went here for lunch around afternoon on weekdays and felt like this is a hidden gem. It was quiet, probably because it’s weekday noon. Food: 10/10 (Authentic taste and very yummy) Service: 10/10 (Because, we wanted to order pepper beef hotplate but couldn’t find one menu but the lady who took our order understood and give us exactly what we craved) Cost: 3 big meals + 2 rice bowls + 2 drinks cost us £60 (It’s a fair price). So £30/person only because we were greedy and want to eat all good meal. If you love authentic chinese food, this is a place.
Great service, friendly attentive staff. Massive menu offering authentic Chinese food. The restaurant itself is beautifully laid out. It is pricey at roughly £14 for most dishes, but this isn't intended to be your typical takeaway restaurant.
Was planning to go to House of Fu when I walked past this place, intruiged about the menu which was all in chinese, but all the best chinese places don't have english, and google translate is also an option. It was lovely and quiet when we went in, and were seen to immediately, we were seated and given menus with explanations and were very charming! After realising we were indecisive, the lady came up to us again and suggested a hotpot menu with pictures for clarity and explanation and we were sold! My friend i was with was vegetarian, and myself a meat eater, and when told, the chef actually came out and explained the entire process for us to accommodate our differences. We had never been to a hotpot before, so the explaination was definitely helpful and very lovely that we felt very reassured and our embarrassment went away very quickly!! We were allocated 2 hours for the hotpot, which we spent refilling our help-yourself dipping bowls and getting more rounds of veggies and meat (which they had on separate plates for us, including seperate cooking utensils and tongs too!!!). Next thing you know it's 2 hours later and we were pregnant with soup twins!! they were very relaxed about the time we spent there digesting and taking a breather after the food, and one of the ladies who worked there also warned us about phone pickpocketing in the area which lead to really relaxing conversations after too! Overall, a lovely spot that's easily missed in the business of manchester, but genuinely very charming with very welcoming staff and incredibly delicious food! Would recommend to come with a group of friends to catch up, or even a workplace dinner, i'm excited to return to try their lunch menu as well !
